Ortega Guitars – Exciting new faces August 2009 German Guitar Company ORTEGA Guitars, which is now distributed in the UK by ACTIVE MUSIC, celebrates its 15th anniversary. Ortega is well known for its big variety of instruments and produces body sizes from 1/4 to 4/4, from traditional Spanish nylon strings to stage ready RCE models. To celebrate the 15th anniversary, Ortega have built two limited models for 2009. The R2009-15th comes with a very bright solid alpine spruce top and figured cocobolo back and sides, with a Fishman C4T System. The "stage ready" RCE1415M-STB brings up some features not normally found on a traditional built nylon string. Ortega have given the guitar a 15" curved maple fretboard, a neck to heel connection at 14th instead of 12th fret, a feedback friendly 80mm body depth and a nice figured body wood made of maple covered by a solid Engelmann spruce top and finished completely in stained blue.
